making faces

Wrote a SDLbasic program under Linux to create lots of different faces.

Llantwit Major

Went to Cowbridge for lunch, then for a walk along the sea at Llantwit Major.
It was sunny but quite chilly.

I like the coastal cliff views.

Books

Assembled my cheap new bookcase. Now I just need some storage boxes. Almost ready to use desktop PC although it needs an internal fan.

Tenby

Lunched at the Qube @ Tenby. Walked off sarnies [Susan had cawl] along South beach. Lots of parking, but beware the Traffic warden!

Saundersfoot short break

Today we went to Narberth, then Tafarn Sinc @ Rosebush near Maenclochog. Tasted some Pant Mawr cheese at its farm source. Went back to Saundersfoot via Llys Y Fran reservoir. Finished our trip @ St Brides hotel with afternoon tea.

Barry Island

Went for a walk around a very sunny Barry Island.

Using multi-OS .sdlbasic

Downloaded SDLBASIC for Ubuntu. Then I wanted to make some changes to the IDE fonts & colours. By trying I deleted the Global.properties file oops, causing the IDE to be quite blank. But all was not lost as I am using the Geany IDE to create programs for the ZX Spectrum emulator. So setting the compile command to
sdlBrt "%F" all is well in the world again, apart from my man flu.

Car gone West

Susan took our Baby-Benz to Garnant to be fixed. She drove back in her fatner's BMW. I took the bus to City centre via Barker's Cafe & riverside walk (American Circus by river) to Pontcanna. We saw Helen from Pobol y Cwm who was with a friend and their babies.

Laptop board

Cut two laminate boards to make a one piece board for laptop.
Used a hack-saw with a blade too short. Really need a saw or two.

Hot

Very hot today. Went to visit Susan's parents in Garnant.

Took Sam the dog to the river and he fetched sticks we threw in. This cooled him down. Wish I had worn my shorts!

Susan's Night Out

Tonight I took Susan and other to town.

They were attending Richie Rich's leaving party.

He is going to work for Greggs in Brighton.

Only lasted hour and half!!

ZX Spectrum programming

Installed Boriel's Python front end ZX Basic compiler.

Works fairly good. Had an issue when doing formula.

Planted alot of flowers in our front garden. Gave them a good hosing, hope they will be OK.

Saturday went to Swansea City centre, then to Verdis.

I have been on holiday this week. Done some programming using Blitz Basic, creating/making faces. Watched a lot of the Welsh Open snooker on TV, the Welsh put in a good performance so far. Baked a cake, one of my best IMHO.

Russell's 50th birthday lunch

Everybody liked Susan's brownies and Russell made a banana trifle.

Received Russell's birthday chocolate in post today from Holland!
