Royal Welsh Show

Thursday's trip to the Royal Welsh Show was hot,hot hot.
My hat kept me cool, and drinking lots of water.
I could see some blocks of cheese melting. The pigs needed watering.
There was a tent with sheep on stage, a speaker extolling great virtues.
We watched Stephen Terry cooking live on stage, then ate the samples.

Flight Gear

An upgrade was available on Ubuntu Update Manager for flight gear simulator.

So I clicked to proceed.Very bad news, as fgfs would no longer run!

Stopped after stating missing a shared library.

I thought it was a SimGear 2.6.0 dependency issue.

The solution was to add

"deb http://archive.getdeb.net/ubuntu/ precise-getdeb games"

installation line to "sources.list" in etc/apt and update apt.

FGFS now works,but FGRUN the graphical front-end doesn't.

I'm sure it won't take long to get that front-end or use another such as FGO!

Update Manager made fgrun work, system back to normal.

Basil

I made seven small pots of basil pesto.
