Vacuum Cleaning

This morning I cleaned the Dyson vacuum cleaner.
Needed my multi screw head screwdriver.
Gunk removed. The motor can cut itself off if it gets blocked.
Then you just press the reset switch.

Monmouth

Went for a trip to Monmouth. It was very busy, had some nice coffee while reading my Linux magazine.There are some nice pubs around. Tried the Bell at Skenfrith, we preferred our usual places.

purebasic

Coneverted my numerology program to purebasic. Compiled it for use on Windows and Linux. It is very simple, but tis my first PB program.

FlightGear Sim

Upgraded from version 2.0 to FlightGear Sim 2.4 for Ubuntu 11.04
Added map support via the Atlas tool. You have to make all the images first using the MAP tool:

Map --atlas=/home/lyndon/fgmaps/ --fg-scenery=/usr/share/games/FlightGear/Scenery3/

Then run the ATLAS command line:

Atlas --path=/usr/share/games/FlightGear/Atlas --udp=5500

I added this to my main menu. Run FGRUN with ATLAS option ticked.

Snowing

It has been snowing on/off all day. Roads are covered.

Desktop does not start up

My desktop computer was not starting.
The solution was to remove the memory modules.
This caused constant beeping when the power was turned on.
After putting the memory back in the BIOS asked
to be started with default or last known good values.
Chose last known good values.
Now everything seems back to normal.
